Obituary:  The Bolivar Breeze Thursday, November 12, 1936 Little Genesee Section

Funeral services for Aaron DeGroff, 67, were held at his late home in Shinglehouse at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon. Burial was in Maple Grove cemetery in that borough.

Mr. DeGroff, a former resident of Little Genesee, had been a blacksmith in this place, at Ceres, Ellicottville and Shinglehouse. He was born in Ohio, June 28, 1869.

Mr. DeGroff was twice married, his first wife being Eleanor Blauvelt. He is survived by his second wife, Nine Hamilton DeGroff, and five children, one daughter, Mrs. Warren Briggs of Williamsport; four sons, Frank and Clarence of Olean, Karl of Friendship and Hollis of Ellicottville; also six step-children, four sisters, 11 grandchildren, two brothers, Lawrence and Andrew of Little Genesee, and four sisters, Mrs. Marion Green and Mrs. Clifford Reed of Little Genesee, Mrs. Henry Holmes of Myrtle, Pa., and Mrs. Fred Perkins of Orange Calif.
