Clifton H. Lawton , Loving father and grand father
CUBA -- Clifton H. Lawton of 1 Willow St., died Saturday (August 5, 2000). Born May 18, 1909, on Bell Run in Shinglehouse, Pa., he was a son of Ned and Elsie Rhodes Lawton. Mr Lawton married Mildred Brace Lawton of Rixford, Pa., who preceaded him in death. Surviving are two daughter; Rose L. Holden of Olean, N.Y., and Mayne E. (Bell) Giles of Cuba; a son Clifton E. (Billy) Lawton of St. Cloud, Fla.; a brother Kenneth Lawton of Bradford, Pa. And several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Thelma M Carson of Tuscon, Ariz.; three brothers, Clyde, Wayne and Elsworth, and a sister F.E. Lawton Mazurkiewicz. Mr. Lawton donated his body to the study of bio medical Science at the State University of New York at Buffalo. A memorial service will be held in Shinglehouse at the convenience of the family.
