Kenneth E. Lawton, beloved uncle
OLEAN -- Kenneth E. Lawton, 89 of Olean, formerly of Shinglehouse, Pa., area died Thursday (Oct. 16, 2003) at Bradford (Pa.) Regional Medical Center after a long illness.
Mr. Lawton attended Bell Run country school and was a butcher by trade but had worked in the area at various jobs. He was employed by Acme Electric Corp. in Cuba and was employed in Florida as a cement block builder.
Surviving besides his wife are several nieces and nephew.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by four brothers, Clifton Lawton, Clyde Lawton, Wayne Lawton, and Ellsworth Lawton; and a sister Flossie Lawton Mazurkiewicz
There will be no visitation. A graveside memorial service will be held in Maple Grove Cemetery, Shinglehouse, at a date and time to be announced.
In lieu s, memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
Arrangements are under direction of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse.
