The grim news of death -- with one of its unusual tragic quirks -- has taken the lives of an West Almond couple within the span of 3 days.
Mrs. Ella Effie Arnold, 60 died a natural death at her home in West Almond, Wednesday morning.
Ethelbert Arnold, 63, her husband was fatally injured Friday afternoon when a team which he was driving ran away.
Mrs. Arnold was born August 19, 1883, in Olean. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Wolcott Funeral Home in Angelica with burial in Maple Grove cemetery, Shinglehouse, Pa.
Mr. Arnold died one hour after the accident at his farm . Coroner George Batt issued a certificate of death.The funeral service for Mr. Arnold was held at the Wolcott Funeral Home, Angelica, Tuesday. Burial in Shinglehouse, Pa.Mr. and Mrs. Arnold were natives of Canada a number of years ago.
