ร‚ย  The Bolivar Breeze Thursday, July 30, 1953Former Sinclair Gauger Died in S. Bolivar
Arthur A. Sizer , for 25 years a gauger for the Sinclair Company prior to his retirement, died at his South Bolivar home after a long illness. A former resident od Shinglehouse, Mr. Sizer had lived in South Bolivar for the past 45 years.
Services were conducted from the Sizer home Sunday afternoon at tow thirty with the Rev. Frank Young of the Alma Evangelical United Brethren Church and the Rev. Harold Sherman of the Shinglehouse Church, officiating. Masonic services were also held at the home.
Mr. Sizer was born in Cuba February 19, 1871, the son of Henry and Lydia Willey Sizer. He was a member of Macedonia Lodge N. 258 F. and A. M. of Bolivar and was an honorary life member of the Shinglehouse Volunteer Fore Department.
Survivors include his widow, the former Miss Fanny Bixby, whom he married January 26, 1898 at Sharon Center, Pa.; one daughter, Mrs. LaVern Wagner of Endicott; one son, Henry L. Sizer of Wellsville; thee grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Emma Hayward and several nieces and nephews.
Burial was made in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Shinglehouse.
