Final Rites Held on Saturday for Francis Hayward, Oil Producer
Funeral services for Francis W. Hayward were held on Saturday afternoon with prayer services at the home at 2:00 o'clock and services at the Shinglehouse Methodist Church at 2:30. The Rev. Don L. Moody, pastor, and the Rev. A. J. Bailey, the former pastor, of Genesee, Pa., officiated. Burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery, Shinglehouse.
Pallbearers, all members of the Sharon Lodge, No. 589, Shinglehouse, were: Robert Ahl, Clarence Stisser, Jr., Tedd R. Colgrove, Floyd Bliss, Oliver T. Jenkins, and Durwood VanEpps.
Mr. Hayward was engaged in the oil business with his father, was prominent in Masonic circles. He was born in Bolivar township, Aug. 24, 1906, the son of Frank and Emma Jane Sizer Hayward.
Among those from Bolivar who attended the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. W. Cecil Davis, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Colgrove, Eric Munich, Paul F. Shaner, Lester N. Shaner, James Wakeman, James Milgate and Mrs. Linda Woodard.
