Merlin B. Dean Jr.
SHINGLEHOUSE, Pa. -- Friends of the late Merlin B. Dean Jr. 13, who died of a gunshot wound Monday (Feb. 6, 1967), may call after 7 o'clock tonight and Thursday afternoon and evening at the Howard Funeral Home here. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday (Feb 10, 1967). The Rev M. H. Vincent , minister of the Shinglehouse Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the East Sharon Cemetery.
Merlin was a student at the Oswayo Valley Elementary School and came to the Shinglehouse area with his family about five years ago.
He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Merlin B. Dean; a brother, Clarence Dean; and two sisters, Rose Dean and Hannah Dean all of RD 1, Shinglehouse; his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Blue Sr. of Bolivar, N.Y; and his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Meldon Dean of Harrison Valley.
