Edmond "Pappy" Haines
COUDERSPORT, Pa. - Edmond "Pappy" Haines, 92 of Coudersport, formerly of Shinglehouse and Norristown, died Monday (May 28, 2007) in Sweden Valley Manor, Coudersport. Born May 13, 1915 in Philadelphia, he was a son of William C. and Margaret Stinson Haines. On July 9, 1937, in Charlestown, he married Rebecca E. "Becky" Roshong, who survives. Mr. Haines was employed for over 40 years as a professional industrial painter. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Surviving besides his wife are four sons, Elmer "Butch" Roshong of Spring Mount, Kenney Roshong of Leesport, Gary (Peggy) Roshong of Douglasville and Bobby (Jody) Roshong of Spring Mount; a daughter, Debbie Young of Sounderton; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by several brothers and sisters. At Mr. Haines' request there will be no public visitation or funeral services. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Shinglehouse. Arrangements are under direction of the Virgil Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse.
