Oswayo Valley Mail August 02, 1956 (Incomplete) DeForrest H. Ellison, died at the Jones Memorial Hospital, Wellsville, Tuesday night (July 31, 1956) after an illness of short duration. Born November 17, 1893, Keech, Pa., he had resided in Belfast and vicinity most of his lifetime, living in Shinglehouse for the past three years. Survivors include two sons, Carl H. Ellison, North Collins, N.Y., and Max V. Ellison, Buffalo; one sister, Mrs. Eugene Smith, Wellsville; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Howard Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.mp Friday (August 3, 1956). Rev William Peoples, pastor of Alliance Church, Shinglehouse, will officiate.
