WILLIAM LAWTON
BRADFORD - William Lawton, 87, of 314 Minard Run died Thursday night (July 16, 1965) at Bradford Hospital after a shirt illness. He was born Jan. 9, 1878 in Bell Run, Pa., a son of Mack and Rocelia Grover Lawton. In 1904 he married Anna Hitchcock who died in 1946/ Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Foster (Lyta) Manning of Lakeside, Ariz., Mrs. Robert (Berneta) Little of Baltimore, Md., and Mrs. Dale (Vinnie) Slater of Bradford; two sons, Raymond Lawton of Bolivar, N.Y. and Derwood Lawton of Rock City Rd., Olean. Also 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. J.B. Lawton of Shinglehouse and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call 7 to 9 this evening and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Howard Funeral Home in Shinglehouse, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday (July 18, 1965). The Rev. George Snow, will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery at Shinglehouse.
