FRANK E. KARR SHINGLEHOUSE -- Funeral services are being held at 2:30 P.M. today (November 12, 1963) at the Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse, Penna., for Frank E. Karr, Karr's Hollow, Shinglehouse, Penna., who died Sunday morning (November 10, 1963), at the Olean General Hospital, following a collapse in the woods during a night of raccoon hunting, having his step-grandson Danny Mooney and a neighbor boy, Duane Stonemetz, with him. Mr. Frank E. Karr was born October 6, 1883 at Karr Hollow, a son of Charles C. Karr and Martha Terrette Karr. He was a lifelong resident of this vicinity. In 1901 he was married to the former Miss Ethel Scott, who preceded him in death in 1943. In 1944 he married the former Josie Ada Mooney, who survives him. In addition, he is survived by one son, Willard Karr, Shinglehouse, Penna., one step-daughter, Mrs. (Jennie Mae) Harris of DeWitt, Neb., four step-sons, George J. Mooney, of Ratan, Okla., Clarence T Mooney, of Petersburg, Mich., Losson Odell Mooney of Shinglehouse, Penna., and Thurlow Mooney of Petersburg, Mich.,; one grandson' 15 step-grandchildren; 11 step-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
