Obituary: Former supervisor in Oswayo Township, Warren J. Keim, dies

SHINGLEHOUSE, Pa. - Warren J. Keim, 66, of the Eleven Mile Road died Monday (May 4, 1992) shortly after arrival at Charles Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport.

Born July 12, 1925, in Clearfield, he was a son of John S. and Sophia Koest Keim. On Aug. 7, 1943, in Bethlehem, he married the former Loretta I. O'Hearn, who survives.

Mr. Keim was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific with the U.S. Navy aboard the LSM 9.

He had been employed as a lineman by the Pennsylvania Power and Light Co. and was a self-employed dairy farmer before his retirement.

Mr. Keim was an Oswayo Township supervisor for many years and served as a committeeman for the Soil Conservation Service in Coudersport.

Surviving besides his wife are a son, Warren J. Keim Jr. of Clyde, Ohio; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Barbara J.) Jones of Hamlin, N.Y.; four granddaughters; three sisters, Mrs. Alice Reichard of Canton, Ohio, Mrs. Ruby Ruth of Emmaus and Mrs. Elsie Larson of Bethlehem; a brother, Jacob Keim , of Bath; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by two sisters, Mrs. Anna Bealer and Mrs. Margaret Siegried; and two brothers, Stanley Keim and Henry Keim.

Friends may call at the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse, Thursday (May 7, 1992) from 10 to 11 a.m., at which time funeral and committal services will be held. David Kemp of Shinglehouse will officiate. Burial will be in Chrystal Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial's may be made to the Shinglehouse Volunteer Ambulance Association, P.O. Box, 98, Shinglehouse, Pa. 16748.
