Obituary: Reva F. Kemp

Reva F. Kemp, 98, of Shinglehouse died Monday (May 28, 1990) in Sweeden Valley Manor.

He was born July 30, 1891, in Shinglehouse, the son of Edwin and Viola Cornelius Kemp. In August, 1913, he married the former Lena F. Torrey, who died in 1960.

Mr. Kemp attended Kibbeville Corners Country School in Shinglehouse.
He was a farmer for many years, and was later employed by North Penn GAs Co., before his retirement.

Mr. Kemp was a former member of the Shinglehouse American Legion Post 530 Social Club.

He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Florence L. Allen of Shinglehouse; a son, Leonard M. Kemp of Grand Valley; 18 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two half-sisters, Mrs. Lottie Fisk of Cuba, N.Y., and Mrs. Lena Mallory of Clearwater, Fla.; a half-brother, Roland Kemp of Jamestown, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral and committal services will be held today at 11:00 a.m. in the Virgil Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse. The Rev. Welcome H. Buchanan of Shinglehouse will officiate. Burial will be in Chrystal Cemetery.
